Privacy

Last updated 2026. This explains what Reviewly stores, why, and what you can do about it.

What we store

  • Reviews you write: your rating, text, images, what it's about, and its edit history, plus your Discord user ID, display name and avatar so the review shows who wrote it.
  • Votes and reports: which reviews you voted on, and reports you send. Who sent a report is only visible to our moderation team, never to the server.
  • Server settings: what server admins set on the dashboard, and the IDs of channels and messages the bot posts.
  • Logging in: when you log in with Discord, we see your user ID, name, avatar and the list of servers you're in, so we can show the servers you manage. We keep this in an encrypted cookie on your device, not in our database.
  • Moderation records: actions our team takes, so decisions can be reviewed later.

The bot doesn't read your messages. It only notices when one of its own review posts is deleted, so the public page can show it.

What's public

Reviews posted in a server with a public page are shown on that page, with your name and avatar. Your profile lists your reviews in servers with public pages; you can hide it on your account page. Servers can turn their public page off.

What we don't do

  • No ads, no tracking scripts, no selling or sharing data.
  • The only cookie is the login cookie.

Your choices

  • Edit or delete your reviews any time (/myreviews in Discord, or your account page).
  • Download everything we hold about you from your account page.
  • Hide your public profile.
  • Ask us to remove your data entirely through our support server.

How long we keep it

Reviews stay until you delete them or our moderators remove them. A deleted review leaves a short "deleted by the author" note with no text, so the history of a server's reviews stays honest.
